People & Places: Neighborhood Project: Detailing neighbourhoods and ethnic diversity in early Ladysmith.
Heritage Trail: Inventory of heritage places in the Cowichan Valley: A report detailing an inventory of Museums etc., and discussion on the state of institutions; potential for a Heritage Trail.
ONE Community, Different Cultures: Networking & collaboration workshop Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 to bring groups together, to increase awareness, understanding and co-operation.
The Beat Goes On – Music in Ladysmith: VIRTUAL MUSEUM OF CANADA. Community Stories: Online history of Music in Ladysmith with video, sound, photos, commentary, text.
A Walk Through Time – self-guided series of walks with points of heritage interest.
Heritage Metal Collage by Gatacre and First Avenue in Ladysmith is being updated by volunteers and the Town of Ladysmith.
Community Record of COVID-19 – Collecting journals: diaries, movies, slide shows, friendship emails, scrapbooks or drawings. When COVID-19 is over, bring a copy to the Ladysmith & District Historical Society Archives as a record of this unprecedented time.
Adopt A Photo Project in order to expand and digitize our community Timeline. Photographers shoot ‘now’ photos to match the perspective of existing ‘heritage’ photos. NOW & THEN PHOTOS PROJECT
