Heritage Video Programming
Work is ongoing recording oral histories. The Lives & Legends Heritage Video Series along with archival photos, video and audio is available on the society’s YouTube Channel. Ask about sponsorship opportunities.
Special Events Programming
BC Family Day, BC Heritage Week, Ladysmith Maritime Society’s Heritage Boat Festival, Hometown Tourist Weekend, Ladysmith Show & Shine, Arts on the Avenue, Ladysmith Light Up, and Old Time Christmas.
Learning Centre
Located at the Ladysmith Museum, the learning Centre is currently developing community programming that includes movie matinees. speakers, and arts & crafts. Contact us for room rental rates.
Ladysmith Heritage Awards
The Ladysmith & District Historical Society in partnership with the Town of Ladysmith and Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce manages the Ladysmith Heritage Awards. The annual awards will be presented during BC Heritage Week in mid-February 2023. The Ladysmith Heritage Awards nominations are being accepted now. The deadline for submission is Jan. 15, 2023.
Anyone can nominate, including nominating themselves, their business or their society.
